It has truly been an odyssey so far! Milan is a very interesting city. A major urban setting, like any good city, many people many cars haha much stress and many places to meet. My stay was short there, I've been a couple of days to get to Venice the next day. In Milan I gave full priority to go and admire the Duomo, is truly spectacular! busy as you might expect, very large, architecturally amazing! Below is a photo. Sforza Castle also very much worth the effort. But wow, Venice! Venice is a work of art, every street, every corner, every bridge, every window ...
Venice is a city where art is in the air. Forgetting the cars of course, is like traveling to the past effectively, you walk or you pay your water taxi haha. There is also something like public transport that takes you to different parts of Venice. I had good weather, it rained today in all of the day, but luckily it was light rain which did not stop me to have a good walk.
I walked too much, at each turn of the streets, I wanted to make a photo, there are restaurants everywhere, they sell the pizzas are very delicious indeed, and there is only one mc donalds around Venice! (Of course I was there haha).
Moving from side to side you look at young people painting, other people playing music, not to mention the photographers ... in short, art anywhere.
The St. Marks Plaza, it really is something to see. But it was being restored in a part of the facade ... so I have to come later to make sure it has been well! And the color blue of the sky between the dark is outta this world. Highly recommended.
Tomorrow, at Florence! to walk all the beautiful bridges and streets full of people all over the beauty of Venice ........ Loading luggage, does not look so beautiful:) greetings!
